The yellow heart emoji, black heart emoji, and many others were approved under Unicode 6.0 in 2010. Across all social platforms, the yellow emoji can be seen to have a golden hue that looks great when shared.  

The yellow color of the heart symbolizes happiness, positivity, and hope like the sunshine. 

It is also said that heart emojis are used to display love and affection to a person. If you want to say I like you or I love you you can add these heart emoji to make it look more affectionate.

However, people think that the Yellow heart emoji is a traditional emoji like the red one that means love. 

The social media app Snapchat has a different meaning to this, it recognizes the yellow heart emoji as a best friend tag, and the person to whom you send most photos or receive snaps from is labeled as your best friend which is defined by the yellow heart emoji. 

The History of Emojis: A Language of Emotions

In 1999 the Japanese mobile phone company NTT DOCOMO released a set of 176 emoji for mobile phones and pagers. Developed on a twelve-by-twelve-pixel grid, the emoji—is a combination of the Japanese words e, or “picture,” and Moji, or “character”.

After its release, it enhanced the visual interface for NTT DOCOMO’s devices and promoted the early practice of text messaging and mobile email.

Created by Shigetaka Kurita, a Japanese artist, emojis were initially intended to convey emotions more effectively in digital communication.

Over time, emojis have evolved into a universal language, transcending cultural barriers and capturing the essence of emotions succinctly.
