Viral: The Most Lavish Wedding Gifts Ever? Noida Couple Exchange a Mercedes, a Fortuner, and 1.25 Kg of Gold

A fancy wedding video from Noida is making waves online, surprising everyone on the internet.

A video from a wedding in Noida, in Delhi NCR has surprised many online as guests observed a lavish exchange of gifts between the families involved.

The incident was shared on social media by Vinit Bhati, an Instagram user. In the video, a man can be heard announcing the extravagant “gifts”.

“Ek dining table hai, do gaadi, ek Mercedez Benz, ek Fortuner, kul milaake 1.25kg sona hai aur 7kg chaandi (There is a dining table, two cars including a Mercedes E-Class and a Toyota Fortuner apart from 1.25kg gold and 7kg silver),” the man was heard announcing the list of items from a paper to the guests.

Naturally, there were some opposing reactions to the video.

Several users voiced their disapproval of what they saw as a showy flaunting of wealth, with some even likening the groom to a “begging bowl in disguise.”

The feeling of distaste was echoed by many other social media users who criticized the groom’s family unequivocally.

“This doesn’t seem like a wedding, but rather a business transaction,” remarked one user. Another commented, “Why isn’t the police intervening? As far as I know, giving and receiving dowry is illegal.”

As the crowd admired the lavish display, online viewers weren’t as enthusiastic. Armed with emojis and exclamation marks, social media users showed their dislike for the excessive gift-giving.

People online raised their eyebrows at the bold display of wealth. Critics found it not just distasteful but also a sign of deeper societal problems. After all, is a Mercedes and a Fortuner the true meaning of eternal love?

As the video spread, one couldn’t help but wonder if the guests were attending a sacred union or an auction at Sotheby’s. Maybe the couple forgot that weddings are about love, not collecting expensive items and fancy cars. Nonetheless, the Noida wedding will be remembered online as a reminder of the saying, “Till debt do us part.”
