PM Modi to Give Away Social Media Accounts but Only for a Day to Women Who Inspire

Most of his followers and critics believed he’s going to quit using all his social media account. What was to follow was a real surprise for all.

How PM Modi quitting social media surprised everyone

With 52.3 million Twitter followers, PM Modi is the most followed Indian on Twitter. He is most followed Indian on Facebook too. Modi has been one of the politicians who recognized the role of social media in politics much early and made full use of the platform. News of Modi announcing giving up social media struck everyone with a surprise. Why would a politician quit a platform that actually helped him in reaching out to people?

Some believed his account was hacked, many pleaded him not to give up his social media accounts.

The answer was to come the very next day. His political opponents, however, took no time to respond with tweets, trying to corner him on the recent Delhi communal riots. Rahul Gandhi his major political opponent was the first to respond.
